Approved funeral parlour staff consulting with a family member

Parlour network

Approved funeral parlours, pre-agreed pricing, no negotiating while grieving

When a family chooses to use the network, FSP4ED connects them to a licensed, approved parlour with pricing agreed before collection ever happens — keeping funeral spending inside approved, accountable local businesses.

Approval standards

What it takes for a parlour to join the network

National Admin maintains the approved parlour list directly — every parlour on it has cleared the same four checks, and stays on the list only while it keeps clearing them.

Licensed and compliant

Every parlour in the network holds a current operating license, verified before approval and checked periodically thereafter.

Published service level agreement

Each parlour commits to a response time from body collection to service readiness, so a grieving family knows what to expect without having to ask.

Pre-approved pricing

Quotes are agreed with National Admin before a family ever sees them — no on-the-spot negotiation while a family is grieving.

Area coverage on file

Each parlour lists the provinces it services, so a claims officer can match a family to a parlour that can actually reach them in time.

Using the network

From an open claim to a completed service, in six steps

The parlour is engaged only after a claim is open and verified, and works to a quote the scheme has already approved.

  1. 01

    Service requested

Once a claim is open, your agent requests a parlour on your behalf from the approved network — no second active request can be opened for the same claim.

  2. 02

Verified at district and provincial level

The same two-level check used for the claim itself confirms the request before it reaches national approval.

  3. 03

    Approved with a fixed quote

National Admin sets the pre-approved price before the parlour ever quotes the family directly — the family never negotiates price mid-service.

  4. 04

    Collection and mortuary care

The parlour accepts the request, collects the body within its published response time, and the family is kept informed at each step.

  5. 05

    Service day

The coffin and arrangements are readied and the service proceeds on the agreed date.

  6. 06

    Invoice, payment, and closeout

The parlour submits its invoice against the pre-approved quote, Finance schedules payment, and the service order closes.

The family never negotiates the bill

Pricing is agreed between FSP4ED and the parlour before a collection happens, and the approved invoice is settled directly by the scheme. A grieving family is not asked to haggle over a coffin, and a parlour is not left chasing a household for payment.

A service level agreement, not a formality

Parlours are listed against the provinces they can genuinely reach, so a claims officer only matches a family to a parlour that can actually be there in time.

Coverage

Parlours listed by the provinces they can actually reach

A claims officer matches a family to a parlour that services their province, so a service level agreement is a real commitment rather than a line in a contract.
