Terms of service
The terms governing membership, contributions, claims, agent conduct and use of this website.
This page is illustrative. It should be replaced with counsel-reviewed terms before FSP4ED accepts registrations on the basis of it.
1. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to anyone registered as a principal member, dependant, beneficiary, agent, or coordinator of FSP4ED, and to anyone using this website. Registering as a member or agent, or making a contribution, means you accept the terms of the specific plan you've joined in addition to what's set out here.
2. Membership and eligibility
Membership requires accurate identity, next-of-kin, and beneficiary information at registration. Providing false information — including about age, dependants, or a pre-existing condition where a plan's rules require disclosure — can result in a claim being declined or a policy being cancelled.
Each plan's own age limits, waiting periods, and maximum dependant counts, as published on our Plans page, form part of these terms.
3. Contributions
Funeral service benefits are contingent on contributions being paid up to date, including through any applicable grace period. A lapsed policy can be reinstated only under the reinstatement rules of the relevant plan, and benefits are not backdated to the lapse period.
Contribution rates are set and may be revised by National Admin. Members are notified of a rate change in advance of it taking effect.
4. Claims
A claim is eligible for benefit delivery once verification confirms the policy was active (or in grace), the waiting period had passed, and the reported circumstances match the covered event. A death certificate is mandatory for every claim, and FSP4ED may request supporting documentation such as a police report where applicable.
A claim may be rejected where eligibility conditions were not met at the time of death; a rejected claim may be appealed with additional evidence.
5. Agents and commission
Agents, district coordinators, and provincial coordinators are engaged under a separate agent agreement governing conduct, commission rates, and grounds for suspension, which these terms do not override.
Misrepresenting FSP4ED's plans, collecting contributions outside the official channel, or falsifying a registration are grounds for immediate suspension pending review.
6. Parlour network
Use of the approved parlour network is optional. Where used, the pre-approved quote agreed between FSP4ED and the parlour applies; FSP4ED is not responsible for arrangements a family makes independently outside the network.
7. Website use
This website provides general information about FSP4ED's plans and processes. Indicative premiums and service package summaries are illustrative starting points, not a binding quote — your registered agent confirms the applicable rate before you commit to a plan.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes affecting active members are communicated in advance through agents, in-app notification, or direct contact.
9. Contact
